Any fantasy. Can a fantasy become a reality?

Post 4 by 1800trivia (I can't call it a day til I enter the zone BBS) on Wednesday, 13-Jul-2005 19:07:13

Of course it could, if you want it to and circumstances permit you to make it so. I don't see the point of your question. Don't most people fantasize 9either sexually or otherwise) about what they want to do before they do it?

It's not meant specifically in a sexual way. If you take it as such, then it is, but this is by no means meant in a sexual way. Just a general question only.

Hm ... some fantasies can get true, but certainly not all of them. I would not be able to give an answer to the question "which fantasy can come true?".

In relation to role play games ect definately and to those seeking an escape from reality look at the success of Star Trek groups and more recently LOTR re-enactment groups if people want to hide from the daily crap who can blame them...

I wonder about this. Surely the only danger of this happening, is that, once your fantasy is a reality, you may perhaps be disappointed? Do we not sometimes find ourselves imagining things, hope and wish they will be more than they are, but then when these things occur, they're actually a bit of a let-down? I'm not saying all the time, but it's maybe something to be mindful of is it not? But then, i guess it depends on what you're fantasising about. I mean, if you fantasise about going on holliday somewhere and all the things you want to do while you're there, then there's a very real possibility of that being made a reality and you doing all those things. Let's just hope you dont' get food poisoning, hehehe on the other hand, if your fantasy was that of a sexual nature, I'd hesitate before trying to make it a reality for the very point that you may be disappointed. All good though, noone has ever known my sexual fantasies, an they never will... Smile

I think that fantasy in many instances can become reality. But then you must have the will to make it reality.
One way of doing it, is to talk about it, to really think it through, and if possible, just do it.
In my life I fantasised about a lot of things, (not necessarily sexually), and through my eagerness to fulfill my dream or fantasy, I succeeded in making it a reality, more than once. As you all know, not everything is exactly doable, but who knows what you can achieve if you really believe in something, if you strongly believe in it! So, in my view, if you fantasise or dream something, you're a good way there already!

Well, all I'd have to say about this is: Yes, depending upon what it is you fantasize about, it can come true. However, I will say this much as well: If you truly think things out logically, fantasies can come true, no matter what they are.

unless your fantasey is something completely off subject like having a baby weasel that talks sing dances and drives. lol

Aren't we perhaps confusing fantasy with a long held dream...I have a reckless ambition which has haunted me for years until it has, due to health problems, become impossible, as it cannnot be realized is it safe to say that this ambition is now in the realms of fantasy.

To me, that depends on how you look at it. That has to be a "yes" and "no" answer. No, it can still be achieved providing that the circumstances may somehow become different, but yes, if they can't change.
